Aparna Duggirala, DPM, FACFAS

Dr. Aparna Duggirala has been in private practice in the Washington, DC area since 2004. She received her Doctorate in Podiatric Medicine from the Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine, Philadelphia, PA. She was trained in Diabetic Limb Salvage at the prestigious Texas Diabetic Institute at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio, Texas. Dr. Duggirala went on to complete her foot and ankle surgical training at West Houston Hospital, Harris County Podiatric Surgical Residency Program in Houston, TX.

 

Dr. Duggirala served as Chief of Podiatry, Department of Surgery at Doctor’s Community Hospital from 2010 to 2015. She is has held board positions at American Association for Women Podiatrists (AAWP) and, has chaired and organized several national conferences on behalf of AAWP in the podiatric field. Throughout her professional career, she has lectured about foot and ankle disorders to the medical community as well as been a spokeswoman for podiatric education. She is a speaker for the national podiatric educational conference hosted by the American Podiatric Medical Association (APMA). Dr. Duggirala is an active member of the APMA and the Maryland Podiatric Medical Association.

 

She is board certified by the American Board of Foot & Ankle Surgery and is a Fellow of the American College of Foot & Ankle Surgeons. Dr. Duggirala specializes in Diabetic Limb Salvage, Wound Care, Sports Medicine, and Foot Surgery and sees patients of all ages. She is committed to helping her patients succeed in attaining their health through conservative treatments as well as surgical approaches. She enjoys gardening, traveling with her family and cooking.
