Neuromas are a very common condition

What is a Neuroma

• A compression on a nerve
• Irritates the nerve and causes it to thicken/get bigger

What can cause a Neuroma

• Certain shoes (tapered show tor boxes, high heels, etc.)
• Specific foot structures (high arches)
• Certain activities (Repetitive irritation, high impact, etc.)

Signs and symptoms

• Pain
• Tingling, burning, numbness
• Can occur at rest, but worst when walking
• A feeling of something bunched in your sock/shoe/walking on rock/pebble

Why is it important to treat a neuroma

• Can cause permanent nerve damage
• Severe discomfort
